ECLIPSE

As the skies turn dark
As the sun, earth & moon line up
As the light dies away
Only the darkness remains

Where light & peace once ruled
Now chaos & darkness brood
Destroying the works of the light
An eternity’s build, a second to smite

And when the light returns
Revealing the damage and burns
Illuminating, the sun lights up
The devastation that was wrought

The peace of the light may be back
But nothing is left intact
In that short moment, when it all turns dark
What’s left, is but a black heart
