"Once More"

The future notwithstanding, let's take one more look at the past...

Sometimes, when you're not at the right place at a certain time, you tend to miss out on all the fun.

Which is what happened to me, as I missed out on most of the candid-picture-taking and tear-jerking moments, simply by not being there when it happened.

Sorry, shouldn't be kicking myself in the shin over this one. Anyway, moving on, we're done. We've finally retired.

It's tough choosing the right words to say, so I'll just post this newly-composed poem...

TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF A NEW CHAPTER

Passing on through the journey of life
Once in a while, savour its sights
Memories aplenty, sad, joyful, old, new
With companions by our side, we pull through

Taking only, the joy, the gladness
Leaving behind, the hurt, the sadness
Together, go far, move along, be free

But forget Thee not
The companions, the friends
Forever by our side, forevermore till the end

Forward, onward
Once in a while, looking backward
Sailing towards to living for a new future

As the old book closes, the tale comes to an end
A clean slate to start, a new chapter begins
