What a week!

It's been a great week (for me)! Possibly the best in the year so far (for me)! First, on Sports Day, not only did I get to march with the Senior Prefects (and wear the coveted Senior's uniform =D), but we won the Uniformed Units Marching competition! *whoot!* And then we had our Prefects' Camp during the weekend! *whoot! whoot!* And, I'm proud to say that I've enjoyed both of them! =D So, now I'm sure most of you are wondering what we actually did during the Camp. Well, it's your standard motivation and leadership training camp, so there's obviously some ceramah in there. And in this camp, we were introduced to the concept of homestay. Instead of living in chalets, dorms, or stuffing us into kampung houses (reference to last year), we were split up into groups to live with some kind, generous, and caring families throughout the camp, which was only for one night, so we didn't spend that much time at the houses. Aside from the ceramah, tasty food, and good sleep, we also had some outdoor activities! On the first day, we were sent out to catch eels! Yeah, I know, I myself didn't even believe that eels could thrive in the water lines of a paddy field, but lo and behold, some of us managed to catch some! (3 only, actually). And at dinner, we sat in groups of four with a large tray in the middle filled with our rice and lauk. But there wasn't enough eel to go around, so I didn't manage to taste any...

Anyway, the next day's outdoor activity was exact same thing we did last year during the PMR motivation camp, minus the water and sand, since we were on a hot, dry paddy field in between plantations. We were supposed to tie a knot on a rope, but there's a catch; All except 5 of us had to hold the rope with both our hand and never let go, while led by the aforementioned 5 people. We succeeded unsuccessfully, but succeeded nonetheless. On both days, there were also sessions where we did presentations, and asked questions. Needless to say, everyone had their guns ready to fire every question they can think of, be it logical or not. =D

But what did I enjoy most? Fellowship. The joy of being with friends and just spending time together. Ah, nothing can replace that. That, and the fact that I got to shoot some people with my custom built LEGO crossbow =D

It can fold for easy storage. All of the shooting was done on the bus, to and from the campsite. I can even give you a list of victims! But don't worry, it didn't hurt, much. Must be because we all 'mantap'! =D Only one problem, though. Since I taught Debbie how to shoot it (only because she asked nicely), I fear the end of the world is near. XD.....
