"April Showers"

...of blessings.

So my brother & I had our sights set on the LEGO Black Pearl for a while then, when we just decided to get it on Easter weekend.

Turns out Brickboys was sold out on the thing. We last saw it earlier this year. And Toys'R'Us doesn't carry it, being a little dated now.

But lo and behold, the Malaysian online LEGO store I stumbled upon some time back turns out to have some in stock. And they did Cash-On-Delivery in the Klang Valley. So I set something up, and next thing we knew, I was in Tesco Midah, holding a brand new LEGO Black Pearl set in my hands.

We presumed the guy operating the site lives somewhere in Cheras.

So here it is. The famed Black Pearl, a ship with black sails that's crewed by the damned, and captained by a man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out. Or so that dock guard said in the movie...

And now onto the minifigs!

Davy Jones & Jack Sparrow - sorry, Captain  Jack Sparrow.

Orlando Blo- er, Will Turner, and that hammerhead shark-head guy. (Boy, talk about redundant naming...)

And Boostrap Bill & Mr Gibbs round up the set.

"This compass does not point North... It points to the thing you want the most. Savvy?"

"But why is the rum gone?!"

This is markedly the first time me or my brother ever got a ship set. And here it is on its nice new display area in the house.

"Drink up me 'earties. Yo ho."

And as for the other decidedly more valuable blessing, well Apple has launched the new iPad here in Malaysia just yesterday.

But I didn't get it yesterday, or even today. In fact, I got it last weekend.

It's a long story that started with my cousins vacationing in the US and ends with me getting my new iPad. The new iPad.

Best part was that it was paid for in full with the reward money from my exams, plus from the sale of my old iPad.

So long, buddy. It's been fun the last year and a half. And now you'll get to go and make someone else happy...

Oh, and the retina display is totally shiny. 

Plus, well, you know, the much improved speed and power and stuff...

Shiny.....

God is great indeed. And awesome. He's totally awesome, man!
