"FT Day is Awesome!"

^ My quote of the day.

Federal Territory day is just a public holiday like any other, only that it's for Federal Territories only, of course. Although this year it's a little bit more memorable for the family...

First thing in the morning, Dad brought me out to create a savings account. We've been scratching heads on a right time to do it 'cause our work takes us to different parts of KL, and banks usually close on public holidays anyway. Then yesterday we had a thought, "Why not go to somewhere not in KL?" And bam! Epiphany, just like that. So we went to Pandan Jaya, which is conveniently, Selangor state territory, and only five minutes from  home. (It's a funny thing. Casa Ria is located just shy from the KL-Selangor border.)

Seriously. Dotted line right there is the border.

Then later in the day we got a brand new LED TV!

Which, as just occurred to me, might not be big news for the rest of you, since from what I gather, flat-screens are pretty commonplace nowadays. But it's big news for us, since our old Cathode-Ray Tube TV's been with us for well over a decade. So yeah, it's a really big jump for us. And it's AV, VGA, HDMI, and USB compatible.

That's right, we can actually plug our PCs to this thing and work it from there.

Which probably isn't a sensible thing to do, so the next obvious thing is to jack in external hard drives or iOS devices, and stream from there.

And finally, to top off the day, a nice little dinner at McD's, Taman Midah.

Also I reinstalled The Sims 3, added in the new expansion packs and played it the whole day long.

I also feel obligated to point out today's interesting date: 1-2-12. An interesting date for an interesting day.

Now that's a holiday.
